Mind-Blowing Interesting Facts About the Worship of the Planets

Planets

The worship of the nine celestial bodies, known as the Navagrahas, is referred to as Souram worship. This practice is deeply rooted in the belief that each of these planets emits powerful cosmic energies. These include the Sun, which is considered the central force of our solar system, along with Mars, Mercury, Jupiter,

Venus, Saturn, the Moon, and the lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu. Different cosmic particles are emitted by each body, adding to the universe's energy fabric.

These cosmic energies are believed to interact with the human brain, influencing various mental and emotional traits. The Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and the outer planets Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto are all members of the

Earth's solar family. While many other stars and celestial bodies exist in the vast cosmos, the planets within our solar system exert the most direct

influence on Earth through gravitational forces and energetic exchange.

In Indian spiritual tradition, there's a clear distinction between deities representing eternal souls—such as Murugar, Ganapathy, Easwar, and Amman—and planetary deities, which are manifestations of cosmic energies from various celestial bodies. These energies are personified and worshipped as gods: Surya Dev (Sun), Chandra Dev (Moon), Angara Dev (Mars), Budha Dev (Mercury), Brihaspati/Guru Dev (Jupiter), Sukra Dev (Venus), and Sani Dev (Saturn). Additionally venerated are earthly elements like as fire, water, and air, who are known as Agni Dev, Varuna Dev, and Vayu Dev, respectively. Other cultures around the world similarly honor these energies in different forms.

Within each human being resides a unique field of cosmic energy, which resonates with the energies of these celestial bodies. Ancient sages often referred to this as etheric, akashic, or sky energy. There is a subtle, ongoing exchange between the cosmic energy within us and the external universal energies. Even though our skin serves as a protective barrier, the body remains porous enough to absorb these invisible forces.

These energies enter the body through breath, vision, and subtle vibrations, directly influencing our brain functions and emotional states. These delicate cosmic vibrations are continuously received and responded to by the human brain, which functions as an antenna. Our environment plays a crucial role in this exchange. For instance, living in natural areas like mountains or hill stations often brings a sense of peace and calm. This is attributed to the presence of untainted cosmic energies—free from the memory of past life forms.

In contrast, densely populated areas are filled with recycled cosmic energies carrying the impressions of human life, thoughts, and emotions. These energies can transfer from one person to another, sometimes causing stress or unease. Crowded spaces can disturb our brain waves, while peaceful environments allow for greater mental clarity and harmony. Practices like meditation amplify our ability to receive pure cosmic energy and restore balance within.

An individual’s personality—skills, emotions, habits, relationships, career choices, and even life path—is shaped by the way different areas of the brain are activated. These variations stem from each person’s unique interaction with cosmic energies, which explains the vast diversity in human behavior and experiences.
